Claudio Rasano’s (*1970) photographs are poignant. He portrays landscapes as well as people—at rest in themselves, vulnerable, and inescapable—in a straightforward and direct way. The artist from Basel reveals the essence, peels away the layers down to the core, down to the fundamental. The exhibition The Finiteness of Depth presents analogue medium-format photographs from South Africa and Switzerland.
