With “Längizyti – Longing for Sunshine” König Büro presents a concise show on the themes of longing and idyll, whereby the idea of paradise implies a clear role attribution. We find ourselves in everyday routines, longing in listless despair for a place where everything will change for the better. For in a time of global crisis, the idea of longing for the return of an intact nature is becoming louder and louder. Constricted in monotonous structures or socially normative gender roles, we strive for everything that is
everything else. In doing so, we illude this strange other as paradise. In addition to painting, drawing and photography, the show also presents sculpture.
