Focusing on the horizon, Biel-based artist Marcel Freymond deals with the insignificance of things in his latest works. At second glance, supposedly recognizable objects reveal a transformed identity. What captivates in his paintings are his masterful handling of color and the physicality of abstracted forms: thickly applied oil paint that becomes a relief, and an untiring lightness in his artistic work. A view into the distance at the gallery.
