Confrontational and uncompromising: Janet Mueller (*1975, former GDR) paints in innumerable layers. The works of the Zurich-based artist are moving viewers with their vulnerability. They are created with acrylic on paper, cardboard, or canvas. Through removing and making layers underneath partially visible, she again and again subjects her painting, herself, to a new beginning. The Remains of the Day shows the power of incompleteness.
