Eleonora Meier
— When it Comes, the Landscape Listens

The paintings of Eleonora Meier (*1977) seem three-dimensional. Spatial and illustrative at the same time, they sound out the medium with watercolor and colored pencil. For the Zurich-based artist with roots in Ticino, literature always serves as a starting point. The series When it Comes, the Landscape Listens is an extension of the poem Theres a Certain Slant of Light (1861) by Emily Dickinson.
