Helena Wyss–Scheffler
Timeless and Poetic: Helena Wyss Scheffler captures emotions on canvas using watercolor and gouache, drawing inspiration from her memories. These are composed of mental fragments, scents, sounds, and sensory impressions. They form a strand of memory that blends the tangible with the dreamed, oscillating between precise realism and abstraction. Wyss Scheffler paints excerpts that extend beyond their boundaries, remaining open and offering possibilities. Hope and despair intertwine in her dreamlike and enigmatic images, evoking personal memories, stirring longing, and leaving a lasting impression.
