Jonas Burkhalter (*1983) has been living in New York since 2018, where he is working on a photographic series: At first glance, sober photos from everyday American life that, upon closer inspection, reveal a density and wealth of information. Through his meticulously constructed image compositions and with extraordinarily sensitive sensitivity, he draws attention to a world whose order seems to be unsettled by current global events.

The exhibition “Distance Black” combines objects and large-format photographs by the Zurich artist.
