Form and wildness in dialog: The stone sculptor Reto Steiner (*1978, Frutigen, BE) is interested in the resistance of the material and the process of how forms are created. Whether he is carving quarry stones with a compressor or melting granite and gneiss from kitchen tops: the moment of transformation and the moment of completion are central; as the tamer of the stones, he controls them and at the same time sets them free. The exhibition “Formwild” focuses on Steiner's reliefs and also shows works in ceramics and wood for the first time.
